The Acting Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA), Major General Amer Aslam Khan HI (M), T. Bt (Retd), presided over the first meeting of the Working Group on the Growth Framework for the Housing Sector in Pakistan at NAPHDA’s Head Office on 07.01.2025 in Islamabad. The Working Group was formed by the Ministry of Housing and Works (M/o H&W), as per the directives of the Task Force constituted by the Prime Minister to develop a growth framework and to focus on financing accessibility for the housing sector. The meeting was attended by key members of the group including, Hafiz Mian Numan, Former Member Punjab Assembly; Brigadier Basharat Ali, Director Military Welfare & Rehabilitation; Captain (Retd) Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Director General, Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA); Mr. Waseem Hayat Bajwa, Deputy Director General (Planning), M/o H&W; Mr. Hassan Bakhshi, Chairman, Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD); Mr. S.M. Nabeel, Chairman, ABAD North region; Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Malik, Senior Real Estate Analyst, and Mr. Muddassar Khalid, Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA). The participants discussed various aspects of the proposed growth framework, focusing on strategies to foster development and improve financial accessibility within the housing sector.
